When people enquire about joining I hear your very, very real worries such as:

Can I borrow equipment?

Yes, mats, straps, blocks and bolsters are here free of charge.

I’m on weight loss jabs, will yoga help me lose more weight?

Yoga is about helping us live happily in the body we have, to soothe the mind and find some peace. It’s more likely to make you feel better about yourself.

I’m taking anti depressants, will yoga help me?

The right style of yoga for you will in some way bring about some balance, alongside your meds. Plus, you will be around nice, gentle people in a gorgeous space.

I’m too big to move properly, I’m embarrassed.

If you have a body, you can do yoga. There is only movement, not right or wrong movement.  I really like a yogi on instagram called @lucybyoga Take a look for some inspiration for inclusivity then let’s meet for 20 mins at the studio and create something for you.

I am really stiff all over, I don’t think I can do it.

If you feel stiff, then you’ve found your people! We are all stiff in different muscles, that's why we do the yoga!

I'm not spiritual, do you teach like that?

A bit, not overwhelmingly though. More focus is on your breathing to be honest and muscle groups.

I can’t meditate, I need to move all the time.

That’s ok, yoga is a moving meditation. Maybe you need some movement or a different ritual to help.

I can’t meditate, my head won’t stop.

Hey, me too! I still try though and sometimes it even makes me feel better!

I’m too anxious to come alone, but I want to start.

What can I do?

We can have ten mins together at the studio on a separate day, walk in and familiarise yourself with the space.

I don’t think many people come together in all fairness, so that is pretty normal.
